立陶宛国家标准（LST）是自愿采用的，使用国际标准分类法（ICS）进行分类导航，由LST下属各个技术委员会归口制定。这些技术委员会致力于安全、医疗、食品、农业、消费品和服务、建筑、运输与通讯、燃料、动力以及工业技术方面的标准制定。LST积极采用国际标准、欧洲标准和先进国家标准，将欧盟指令引入本国标准与技术法规中，这是立陶宛的国策和标准化战略。
